Four Children Left Alone After Mother’s Disappearance

Authorities are working to locate the relatives of four young children, aged between one and eleven years, who were found abandoned in their home in Hazelmere, KwaZulu-Natal.

Children Found Alone After Mother’s Departure

Concerned neighbors alerted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre at 5:52 PM on Friday after discovering the children alone. Upon investigation, it was revealed that their mother fled the home after being assaulted by their father the previous night. Her current whereabouts remain unknown.

Father Arrested, Leaving Children Without Care

Police arrested the father on Friday morning, leaving the children without parental care. Since then, they have been left to fend for themselves. Authorities are now urgently trying to find a family member or welfare organization to assist in ensuring their well-being.

Family Unwilling to Help

RUSA officers managed to contact the children’s aunt, but she refused to assist them. With no immediate family stepping in, authorities have taken the extraordinary step of making the children’s identities public to appeal for help.

Call for Assistance

Officials are urging the public to share any information that could help locate a relative or welfare organization willing to care for the children until their mother is found.

Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to contact Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at 086 1234 333.

This heartbreaking situation highlights the urgent need for community support and intervention in cases where children are left vulnerable due to domestic issues.
