South African actor, choregrapher and talk show host, Somizi Mhlongo, and his actress mother, Mary Twala.A video of media character Somizi Mhlongo portraying his prominent mother, Mary Twala, has reappeared through electronic systems administration media following her passing
The veteran South African on-screen character spent on Saturday morning in the Netcare Park Lane Hospital. She was 80 years old and had been engaging with her prosperity for some time.
Somizi attested the news on Instagram, saying: “The tree has fallen. I am significantly broken at this point I’d be particularly vain if I don’t release her. My mom lived unbounded and achieved past her dreams.”
Tending to Anele Mdoda on SABC’s Real Talk in 2017, Somizi opened up about how his mom was reliably near to when he was poor from 2006 to 2009, a period where he was in like manner weakened.
In the now-well known video, Somizi can be heard portraying the late Mary as an “extraordinary” instance of a mother.
“My mom got me through that period. She was there for me all through,” he said. “If you have to see a perfect instance of what a mother is, go to my mother.
Somizi also stood out her quality from American on-screen character Chuck Norris. That woman is my Chuck Norris, my start and end. My mother has never turned her back. When was I crippled or when the world said I was failing miserably, my mother was there.
“Exactly when they said I was poor, my mother said ‘until maybe I am out for the count, you can say you are bankrupt’. When sh*t hit the fan, my mother came and saved me.”
