Trouble in paradise for ex-Generations actor!
VETERAN actor Sello Maake KaNcube appeared in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Friday, 24 January, regarding a protection order he had filed against his estranged wife.
The 63-year-old ex-Generations actor faced an unexpected twist when Pearl Mbewe served him with a counter-protection order during court proceedings on 29 November 2024.
Attempts to reach both parties for comment proved unsuccessful, as they remained tight-lipped about what transpired in court.
Sello, dressed in an all-black outfit, hurriedly exited the courthouse, avoiding questions from the media and directing reporters to speak to his estranged wife.
“Go talk to your friend, there she is coming,” he said before leaving.
Meanwhile, Pearl, appearing composed in a traditional two-piece colourful number, walked out of court accompanied by her friends and legal representatives.
She maintained her silence, citing legal advice.
“I can’t comment. My lawyers have advised me not to speak to the media,” she said.
During a previous court appearance, Sello hinted at the complexities of their marriage, suggesting Pearl was playing a role in an unfolding drama.
“She’s the actor in this situation, more than I could ever be. She’s the one who decided we should go to court,” he remarked.
Sello, known for his iconic role on a show like The Queen, reflected on the situation with a sense of sadness.
“I think everything went wrong, and that’s why we’re here right now,” he said.
