‘Traitors’: Gayton McKenzie calls out Elon Musk, AfriForum?
Minister Gayton McKenzie is calling out ‘traitors’ – suggestively that of Elon Musk and AfriForum – for their portrayal of SA to Donald Trump.
Minister of Sport, Art, and Culture Gayton McKenzie has seemingly thrown shade at Elon Musk and AfriForum, an organisation geared at promoting the rights of Afrikaaners, over US President Donald Trump’s comments about South Africa.
The leader of the Patriotic Alliance urged SA and President Cyril Ramaphosa to “make peace our biggest trading partner,” who believes that SA is “confiscating land and treating certain classes of people VERY BADLY.”
GAYTON MCKENZIE CALLS OUT ‘TRAITORS’
In a lengthy X thread, Minister Gayton McKenzie weighed in on the tense relations between South Africa and the US. This comes after US President Donald Trump criticised SA over what he believes is racial discrimination.
His comments come shortly after he authorised the termination of USAID funds to the country – which supplies ARVS to many South Africans.
In a series of tweets, Gayton called out South Africa – and President Cyril Ramaphosa – to put their differences aside when it came to relations with the US following Trump’s comments.
However, the outspoken politician called out those who were seemingly portraying a false narrative of the country. To many, this was interpreted as Elon Musk himself and AfriForum.
He tweeted: “Let’s make peace with our biggest trading partner. Let us show him that this narrative by some who act like Patriots but are traitors are not telling the truth. White people still own the majority land, and no one is taking the land currently from them. Arrogance will make us pay a heavy price.”
Those making a noise saying he should go to hell, start opening your wallets, maybe just maybe this can be a turn-around for our country, less begging and more producing . We are a wealthy country with a big begging bowl .

Gayton addressed AfriForum directly over their calls to the USA to sanction SA.
“AfriForum, enjoy basking in the fake sun; the farmers and exporters will pay a price never seen before if action is being taken by US government. Everyone in South Africa, including you, knows that no land is being taken forcefully. You guys are wrong and silly. We should always put South Africa first with the truth”.

IS ELON MUSK BEHIND TRUMP’S COMMENTS?
Meanwhile, Elon Musk has been accused of influencing Donald Trump’s views of his country of birth.
The Pretoria-born businessman has previously publicly condemned politicians for “pushing for the genocide of white people.”
In a tweet on Monday, he also criticised President Cyril Ramaphosa for promoting “openly racist laws.” These included the recent Expropriation Act and the Black Economic Empowerment [BEE], which has halted his plans to bring his internet satellite company, Starlink, to SA.
On X, many South Africans called out Elon Musk for “misinforming” Donald Trump about race relations back home.
Take a look at what a few had to say…

It’s a shame that Elon Musk is really betraying his own country South Africa by agreeing with Trump. Y’all might hate SA now but this is so dumb.

I’m starting to think Americans don’t read nor educate themselves about other countries. With Elon Musk now pushing propaganda with his bestie Trump, here are some real facts about what’s happening in South Africa and it’s current policies.

The Trump onslaught against South Africa seems to have an Elon Musk touch. I have begun to view Elon differently. Is he running the U.S. and the world through Trump?
