The Ferguson Family
This family touched South Africans in a way that most families will take a lifetime to do. The way they loved and protected each other gave so many hope that indeed love does conquer everything and that there are people who truly love each other.
It is with great sadness that a man like Shona had to die leaving behind the people he loved dearly. If one would ask God a question would be, why him? Why a man who had so much love and respect for others instead of thousands of men who abuse women and children.
It seems like those who do good and love unconditionally die first leaving behind monsters who murder, hurt women and children. Shona taught so many that blood is truly thicker than water, and no matter what happens his family will come first.
His death came as a shock for many. No one expected that today we will be burying such a talented man. It shows how powerful Covid-19 is and if you still believe that this disease is a joke then you should remember people like Shona, who went to the gym, ate healthy and took his health seriously died because of Covid-19.
Connie and Shona had plans together, things they had to do together including their marriage in November 2011. Unfortunately, she can’t carry most of those plans anyway because he is no more.
