Some occasions have no room to make typos. For instance, public signs and even tombstones!

A lady posted a set of twins on a family member’s tombstone. As much as that on its own is a topic of debate, I’ll overlook it. After all, we all have different beliefs and what is taboo to one person, is completely normal to another person.

What struck Tiktokers about the lady’s post is what is written on the tombstone. The deceased was Thabo, a gentleman who was born in 1964 and laid to rest in 2009. His birth, death and burial all happened in April.

From the family, the following message was engraved on the tomb:

In loving memory of Thabo’s family. You will never fade in our minds.
From the first sentence, it sounds as if Thabo lost all his family and is the only family member left.

As much as English isn’t everything, it’s important to be mindful of words and their construction of sentences because one word can completely change the meaning of something.

What’s worse is the fact that this could have been an error made by the tomb providers. And again, if you’re not completely focused, you can miss the error and keep it moving. Unfortunately, some people have time to scrutinize things and will be able to see the mistake.

As for Tiktokers, they couldn’t help but laugh at the error! These are the hilarious comments:
