Skeem Saam actor Maake kaNcube asks for paternity tests for two of his children
Sello Maake KaNcube has recently become entangled in a personal scandal that has startled both his fans and industry peers.
The 48-year-old musician is reportedly demanding paternity tests from his two children’s moms, Minenhle Mosoti and another unnamed lady, due to concerns about their fidelity in their relationships. In a letter to his solicitors at Mathebe Attorneys, KaNcube emphasized his wish to establish whether he is the biological father of the children and established a clear plan to include them in his impending will, if the DNA testing confirm his parenthood, according to Sunday World.
“After careful consideration, I would like assistance in getting a summons to request a paternity test for the child I might have with the second respondent, Mmatshilo Motsei,” says a letter he penned the previous week.
The actor’s allegations stem from tumultuous dynamics with Mosoti, who, according to him, had previously threatened to abort their child and appeared to have had extramarital affairs, particularly during an incident in which he claims he discovered a man in their home while he was away in London.
“She threatened to terminate the child very early in her pregnancy and continued to do so for several months. I went through the most with this one, and she knows her truth, and I know mine.”
“To help you understand who Mmatshilo is as a person, when I left for London, we wanted to repair our relationship and reunite. A month into my stay in London, when I contacted her, my son informed me that there was a man in the house.
KaNcube expressed sentiments of betrayal, saying he had tried to restore their relationship only to face personal obstacles after learning of her alleged infidelity. The situation was aggravated by difficulty in paying their child’s college fees, which KaNcube believes Mosoti has handled unlawfully.
He expressed a strong desire to define his paternal position, emphasizing that knowing his children’s genuine genealogy is critical for him to accept his responsibilities as a father. He went on to say that Motsei also barred the child from seeing him while he was working across the pond.
“I invited the child to come visit me and my other adult and teenage children. I had already purchased tickets, but she wanted me to accompany her at the moment, and when I declined, she said that her ancestors were refusing to allow the child to visit me. What ancestors reject a child’s biological heritage? reads the letter, to which Motsei answered that she will take the tests.
