Skeem Saam actor Kwaito’s Expensive Lifestyle and Net Worth Revealed
On Skeem Saam, actor and businessman Clement Maosa plays Zamokuhle “Kwaito” Seakamela. Clement is a qualified lawyer in addition to his Skeem Saam onscreen Kwaito character.
Kwaito grew up in the dry and dusty village of Ga-Rammutla in Polokwane, Limpopo, wanting to be a soldier. During high school, he fell in love with acting and the creative arts before enrolling at the University of Limpopo to study law.
“When I was in metric, I told my parents that I wanted to be an actor; I wanted to enrol at Wits or UCT to study Film and Production. They refused and said, you will be a Lawyer or Doctor; otherwise, we will not pay for your school fees, so I enrolled to study Law at the University of Limpopo. My law degree helps negotiate contracts and help others; I want to open a firm to assist artists in understanding contracts.”
“Soon when I get my admission as an Advocate, I want to major in entertainment law and represent artists and their rights, particularly musicians. Entertainers play a vital role in our society but they are often neglected, exploited and not valued”
Clement worked with Limpopo community radio before landing the Skeem Saam role. He revealed that he passed the audition after seeing a Facebook advertisement.
‘I saw a call for auditions advertisement on Mzansi Fo Sho’s Facebook page, borrowed money to travel from Limpopo for auditions, and luckily, I passed.”
Maosa, who was born on May 9, 1988, is the father of Bokang Maosa and has lived with the tragedy of losing his parents, Tlou and Mosima Maosa, to witchcraft at a young age. Clement was orphaned at a young age and raised by his grandmother, to whom he always praised for raising such a fine young man.
Kwaito mastered the art of turning lemons into lemonade, and Clement Maosa has never looked back since his television debut. What is fame without money to flaunt?
Clement mastered the art of escaping poverty by gaining financial independence and creating wealth. From the humble villages of Limpopo, he is now a business force in Johannesburg with agricultural interests back home.
Apart from his Skeem Saam salary, Kwaito managed to amass a legion of Instagram followers, providing him with a platform to advertise and make money.
He has one of the most expensive garages in the acting industry, with vehicles such as an R2.5 million Mercedes G Wagon and an R1.1 million BMW 4 Series Coupé. In 2023, he is worth R23.2 million.
