Singer Puleng Phoofolo in Recovery After Car Crash That Took the Lives of Malome Vector & Lizwi Wokuqala

Afro-soul singer Puleng Phoofolo is still hospitalized after the fatal accident that claimed the lives of musicians Malome Vector and Lizwi Wokuqala last month.

The publication caught up with Puleng, who sustained moderate to serious injuries, on her road to recovery. The singer revealed she underwent an operation on her left thigh this week.

“I’m still in pain emotionally and physically. I am not OK. I am taking it one day at a time. Yesterday I underwent surgery on my left thigh and it’s still painful. I’m seeing a psychologist to assist me with my mental health after the accident,” she said.

Recalling the accident, Puleng took to her timeline to share a statement a few days later.

“I have been discharged from hospital and am home recovering. I confirm I was in the car that tragically collided with a truck and resulted in the untimely deaths of my industry brothers Bokang Moleli, aka Malome Vector, Lizwi Wokuqala, and director Da Mos,” she wrote.

“I humbly request I be afforded the necessary time and space to deal with this horrific and traumatic experience. I am overwhelmed and humbled by the outpouring of love and support I have been receiving during this trying time. My life flashed before my eyes and I cannot thank God enough for his grace and mercy for preserving my life.”

“I’ll update you guys next week. I might be discharged. What breaks my heart is that I wasn’t available for the burial of my brothers. I hope I’ll be fine in due course”.
