The 18-year-old, who has recently gained attention for her vocal feature on Chris Brown’s 2024 album, was booed off stage and faced backlash from the audience after taking the stage when fans had expected popular Maskandi artist Gatsheni to perform.

Naledi began her statement by expressing gratitude to Mthandeni and his team for giving her the opportunity to perform at the event. She acknowledged the importance of the platform and the support extended to her.
“Firstly, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to Mthandeni and his incredible team for providing me with the platform to perform and connect with his supporters. I understand the importance of the opportunity and I truly appreciate the support that has been extended to me,” Naledi wrote.

Naledi offered a direct apology to Gatsheni and his team, acknowledging that her actions disrupted the event and caused unintended disrespect.
“I also want to offer a heartfelt apology to Gatsheni and his team. It was never my intention to cause any disruption or disrespect, especially to such a respected and established artist in the Maskandi community.
