Internship Programme. This transformative initiative is designed to provide unemployed graduates with an opportunity to gain valuable industry experience in several key business areas. The internships span diverse fields such as marketing, human resources, and customer service engineering, aligning with Siemens Healthineers’ commitment to nurturing local talent and advancing inclusive employment.
All internship positions are hosted at different Siemens Healthineers offices across South Africa and offer hands-on experience in a real-world work environment. The programme is designed to build capabilities, stimulate career growth, and create long-term employment opportunities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Marketing Intern – Midrand, Gauteng
- Support marketing and business development functions
- Assist with business administration, customer communications, and project tracking
- Contribute to revenue growth and brand positioning
- Conduct data management and basic analysis using tools like Excel and Power BI
HR Intern – Midrand, Gauteng
- Assist with the implementation of HR policies and compliance activities
- Support digital HR transformation and onboarding processes
- Involve in talent acquisition, HR analytics, and B-BBEE tracking
- Improve HR operational efficiency and ensure accurate data handling
Customer Service Engineer Trainee – Cape Town / Port Elizabeth
- Support technical installation and maintenance of medical equipment
- Provide customer support both onsite and remotely
- Participate in service process improvements and training programs
- Collaborate in designing and executing technical service tasks
Customer Service Engineer – East London / George
- Carry out system installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Support internal tools and technical development projects
- Deliver technical support and service excellence to healthcare clients
- Actively contribute to team performance and regional support efforts

Requirements
Marketing Intern
- Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) or equivalent / BTech
- Knowledge of MS Excel; SAP and Power BI are advantageous
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and financial acumen
HR Intern
- BCom in Industrial Psychology, Business Management, or Human Resource Management
- 0–2 years of HR experience
- Knowledge of SA labour legislation, Skills Development, B-BBEE
- Proactive, digitally savvy, able to manage multiple priorities
Customer Service Engineer Trainee
- Diploma in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Clinical Engineering
- Valid driver’s license (own vehicle advantageous)
- Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work overtime if necessary
Customer Service Engineer
- Diploma in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Clinical Engineering
- Valid driver’s license (own vehicle advantageous)
- Strong problem-solving abilities and technical communication skills
- South African citizen with flexibility to travel across regions
