“Shaune Mogaila’s Salary Disclosed in Court Following Tragic Accident”
Sekhukhune United player Shaune Mogaila made his first court appearance on 1 November to make a formal bail application against the charges levelled against him.
FATAL CAR CRASH IN TEMBISA
A case of culpable homicide and reckless and negligent driving was opened against the former SuperSport United wonderkid after being involved in a fatal car accident in Thembisa on 30 October.
A case of hit and run was reportedly added to his charge sheet after he disappeared from the scene after his sleek BMW was involved in a fatal collision.
The fatal accident claimed the life of a nine-year-old girl. However, her mother, who was driving them to school, is reportedly in the Intensive Care Unit.
On the other hand, the other passenger, who happens to be a 13-year-old, is admitted.
SHAUNE MOGAILA’S SALARY REVEALED IN COURT
However, despite keeping his private life under wraps, the star’s salary and other financial responsibilities were revealed to the gallery as he negotiated for bail.

The court also heard about Shaune Mogaila’s salary at Sekhukhune United. The troubled star earns around R40 000 per month.
“The State says it’s not opposing his release on bail, citing that he can only afford R5000 bail. The defence says he earns R40,000 per month, his BMW is R8500 a month, and his bond is R13500, while he also takes financial care of his family,” the court heard.
However, little is known about whether bonuses and other performance-based bonuses are included in the revealed salary.
Some fans quickly implicate Shaune Mogaila’s failed Orlando Pirates deal into the mix.
After leaving Royal AM, he joined Sekhukhune United despite the interest of several clubs, including the Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.
Many were more than convinced that he could have been earning more than R40 000 if his deal materialised.
CAREER
Little is known about his youth career. However, the 29-year-old PSL star started his senior career with Highlands Park in 2018.
Two years later, after 19 appearances, he left the club for TS Galaxy. In 2022, Shaune Mogalia joined Royal AM. Earlier this year, he left the club as a free agent.
However, his command of the game and flair saw a host of PSL clubs, including Orlando Pirates, reportedly try to sign him before settling for Sekhukhune United.
