Selbeyonce returns to Mzansi’s top show!
AWARD-WINNING Ukhozi FM presenter Selby “Selbeyonce” Mkhize is happy to play for winning teams in Mzansi.
The 36-year-old Selbeyonce from Inanda, north of Durban, has rejoined Mzansi’s most-watched TV show.
Selbeyonce, who hosts the weekday afternoon show Woza Nabangani Bakho alongside Khathide “Tshatha” Ngobe on Ukhozi, is making a return to Uzalo.
The presenter portrays the character Selbeyonce on Uzalo, which airs on SABC1 at 8.30pm on weekdays.
On Uzalo, she’s also one of the presenters of the radio station K-Mash FM, the station that normally uses famous radio hosts such as former Ukhozi FM presenter Linda “Mr Magic” Sibiya and legendary Lesedi FM presenter, Thuso Motaung.
Selbeyonce, who scooped the Best Afternoon Drive Show award during the SA Radio Awards in 2023, told Daily Sun that it excites her to be back on Uzalo again.

“I’m excited to be back on Uzalo again. It feels like home because Uzalo and Ukhozi are all under the SABC, which is my home.
“What excites me is that Ukhozi FM is number one in Mzansi with many listeners, and Uzalo is also the number one most watched soapie with many viewers in Mzansi,” she said.
Selbeyonce said she loves both radio presenting and acting, and she’s happy that now she can do both.
“My acting career started in 2018 when I played Pearl, a transgender woman, on Generations: The Legacy in 2018.
“While I was with Generation: The Legacy, I also got a call from Uzalo, asking me to join them. I quickly jumped to them because my character on Generations: The Legacy was about two weeks,” she said.
She has also appeared on Imbewu: The Seed as Lulu, a transgender woman.
