SASSA Grants Administrator x4 Posts 2025 The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is a dynamic institution mandated with delivering social grants to citizens across South Africa. It plays a crucial role in ensuring the right social grants reach the right individuals at the right time and place — aligned with its core commitment: “paying the right social grant, to the right person, at the right time and place.”

As part of its growth strategy, SASSA is seeking two qualified individuals to join its Free State regional offices as Grants Administrators (Level 05).

Minimum Requirements

  • Qualification in the relevant field at NQF Level 6 as recognized by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA)
  • Computer literacy is essential
  • Added Advantage:
    • A valid driver’s license
    • Prior administrative or clerical experience

Role Responsibility

As a Grants Administrator, the successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Deliver efficient customer care services
  • Screen and capture grant applications
  • Handle beneficiary maintenance functions
  • Administer medical booking and assessments
  • Provide off-site grant application services to clients
  • Manage scanning and batching of grant files

This role is vital in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of SASSA’s grant administration process, ensuring timely and effective service delivery to beneficiaries.

Skills and Attributes

Ideal candidates should possess the following:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of social assistance legislation and policies
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Competence in operating Microsoft Office Suite

Botshabelo Local Office:

  • 1st preference: African Male
  • 2nd preference: White Male
  • 3rd preference: Indian Male

Sasolburg Local Office:

  • 1st preference: African Female
  • 2nd preference: White Female
