SAFA set to Receive Millions from Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates

The South African Football Association (SAFA) are set to receive millions from Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
The trio’s good run in the continental tournaments has benefited SAFA.

This comes after Chiefs were the runner ups in the CAF Champions League.

While Sundowns were knocked out in the quarterfinal of the tournament.

Pirates also got knocked out of Confederations cup in the quarterfinals.

After qualifying for the CAF CL final Chiefs secured a total of R18.2 million as runner ups.

Sundowns secured around R9.4 million after they were knocked out in the quarters.

The Buccaneers also earned around R5 million in Confed Cup after they were eliminated by Raja Casablanca.

However the three clubs will have to pass 5% of their total earnings to SAFA.

This comes after SAFA has been in charge of the clubs administrations when they were busy in CAF.

Amakhosi will contribute a total of R900 000 to SAFA as their 5% charge.
