Radio star and lover missing for days!
THE family of missing journalist Aseri Sibusiso Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Precious Mdhluli is appealing for public help to find loved ones.
“We, as the families of Ndlovu and Mdhluli, are desperately seeking the public’s help in locating our missing loved ones, Sibusiso Aseri Ndlovu and Zodwa Precious Mdhluli. We’re devastated and worried about them. We urge anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward and help us bring our loved ones home safely,” Aseri’s elder brother said.
Sibusiso, founder of Capital Live FM, a community radio station in Mamelodi, Tshwane, and a passionate radio personality, was last seen at Denlyn Mall in Mamelodi.
His partner Zodwa was last seen in KwaMhlanga.
The couple has been missing for 10 days and the family is growing increasingly concerned.
After launching a search, a neighbour informed Sibusiso’s brother their home in Mpumalanga had been broken into, with several valuable items stolen.
This new information has raised fears that the couple may have been kidnapped.
“We’re grateful for any assistance the public may provide in helping us locate them. We’re worried they might be in danger, and we just want them back home safely,” said the brother.
The National Press Club has expressed extreme concern over the welfare of Sibusiso and Zodwa.
“We call on anybody with information about their whereabouts to contact the South African Police Service (SAPS) and thank the SAPS for their efforts to find the couple. We wish the two families and their friends and colleagues strength in this difficult time and pray for the safe return of Sibusiso and Zodwa,” said Antoinette Slabbert, interim chairwoman of the National Press Club.
Multimedia freelance journalist Nomazulu Moyo described the emotional toll Sbusiso’s disappearance has taken on his colleagues.
“It’s been 10 long days, and the silence grows louder with each passing moment. We’re all deeply feeling the absence of Sibusiso Ndlovu and his partner. As colleagues, fellow journalists, it’s hard to put into words the emptiness we feel not knowing where they are or if they’re safe,” she said.
Nomazulu said their hearts are with the Ndlovus and hope and pray for their safe return.
“We won’t stop searching, hoping, and standing together until we know they’re okay.”
Acting Mpumalanga police spokesman Colonel Donald Mdluli confirmed missing persons and house break-in cases have been opened.
“No arrests have been made, and investigations are underway. We plead with the public to come forward with any information that can assist police in finding them.”
