Background & Job Description
The National Gambling Board (NGB) is offering an exciting opportunity for unemployed South African graduates to gain valuable work experience through its 12-month Internship Programme for 2025. The NGB aims to provide practical exposure and skills development in key operational fields such as Supply Chain Management and Legal Services.
This internship programme is tailored for energetic graduates who are passionate about public service and are ready to begin their professional journey in a structured and regulated environment. Interns will be mentored by experienced professionals and involved in projects that directly support the NGB’s regulatory mandate.
Tasks
Interns placed in the Finance and Legal Services departments will assist with the following tasks:
Finance (Supply Chain Management)
- Supporting procurement and supply chain operations
- Assisting in sourcing, ordering, and payment processing
- Performing asset verification and inventory management
- Providing support in vendor database maintenance
- Compiling supply chain compliance reports
Legal Services
- Conducting legal research and legislative interpretation
- Drafting legal opinions, reports, and memos
- Reviewing contracts and legal documentation
- Assisting with compliance and governance reviews
- Supporting internal legal investigations and queries
Qualifications
Candidates must hold the following qualifications:
- Finance (Supply Chain Management):
- National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Reference Number: NGB/Int 001-2025
- Legal Services:
- LLB or Bachelor of Laws Degree
- Reference Number: NGB/Int 002-2025
All qualifications must be completed at the time of application.
Experience
- No prior work experience required
- Applicants must be unemployed graduates at the time of applying
- Preference will be given to:
- Previously disadvantaged individuals

- Applicants must be South African citizens
