IN a dramatic turn of events, the notorious sangoma, Gogo Maweni (38), made her much-awaited court appearance on Wednesday, 12 March.

Surrounded by cameras, capturing every moment for her reality show on Moja Love, Thokoza Gogo, she stood calmly in the courtroom.

Born Makgotso Mofokeng, Gogo Maweni appeared undeterred by the serious charges levelled against her, steadfast alongside her supportive husband, family, and friends during tense trial proceedings.

The courtroom was abuzz with excitement as assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm charges were revisited.

“You are on bail, and your bail is extended until 5 May. You must be present at 8.30am. Failure to attend will result in your arrest, and your bail will be revoked,” he said.

As Gogo Maweni departed the courtroom, the atmosphere was thick with anticipation.
