  • From Lorch to Wiseman? Confusion Grows Over Star’s Relationship Status

From Lorch to Wiseman? Confusion Grows Over Star’s Relationship Status

From Lorch to Wiseman? Confusion Grows Over Star’s Relationship Status

South African actress Natasha Thahane, beloved for her role in Blood and Water, has taken a firm stand against swirling rumors linking her romantically to actor Wiseman Mncube. The former Skeem Saam star used her Instagram platform to set the record straight, calling out false reports with a no-nonsense response.

On Wednesday, an Instagram post claiming, “Confirmed Natasha Thahane has finally moved on with Wiseman Mncube,” caught the actress’s attention. Thahane swiftly reposted it to her Instagram Story, firing back, “Confirmed by who? Stop spreading lies.” Her sharp rebuttal comes amid a flurry of media speculation about her love life, particularly following her high-profile split from Mamelodi Sundowns footballer Thembinkosi Lorch.

Thahane confirmed her breakup with Lorch, the father of her child, earlier this year, stating, “Thembinkosi Lorch and I have decided to part ways romantically. Despite the change in our relationship, we will remain friends and co-parents. I am looking forward to this new chapter in my life, #NewBeginnings.” Addressing the emotional toll of the split, she added, “This happened a long time ago. Now let me post in peace! No ‘heal’ nonsense—I’m grateful I came out alive.” Her candid remarks hinted at a challenging relationship but underscored her resilience and focus on moving forward.

The rumor mill, however, didn’t stop churning. Reports of a supposed romance with Mncube, known for his roles in Uzalo and The Wife, sparked a mix of reactions across social media. Fans and followers flooded platforms like X and Instagram with their takes. @ZandileNomusaMaphumulo cheered, “At least Wiseman is a Kaizer Chiefs fan! Welcome to the Khosi for life family, mntase.”

Others, like @MawandeLuthi, stirred the pot with unverified claims, commenting, “One thing I know for sure, Cassper Nyovest was also smashing her.” Meanwhile, @TumelloSebatlelo gushed, “You too gorgeous Natasha, your face must be plastered on big billboards all over the world.”

Not everyone was convinced by the gossip. @ZiggyBlackjesusNdodemnyama questioned the timeline, writing, “Yesterday she was back with Lorch, today she’s with Wiseman. Someone’s lying, but I don’t know who.” @DumisaniMkhosana, on the other hand, offered congratulations to the rumored couple, saying, “You’re blessed, baba—that woman is beautiful.”

As Natasha Thahane continues to shine in her acting career and embrace her role as a mother, she’s made it clear she won’t let false narratives define her story. With her focus on co-parenting and new professional ventures, Mzansi is watching to see how the star navigates this latest wave of attention. For now, Thahane’s message is loud and clear: the rumors stop here.

Bathroom Sighting of Naledi Aphiwe Sparks Talk of Possible New Relationship

Naledi Aphiwe Caught Kissing in Bathroom, Sparks New Romance Rumors with a Mpumelelo Mseleku Lookalike

South African singer-songwriter Naledi Aphiwe has set social media ablaze with whispers of a fresh romance, following speculation about her breakup with fellow artist Mawelele. The talented 18-year-old vocalist, born on 15 December 2006, is now teasing fans with glimpses of a new love interest, leaving Mzansi curious and captivated.

Naledi and Mawelele were long rumored to be a couple, often spotted in cozy snapshots together, though they never publicly confirmed their relationship. Some fans speculated their connection was a clever marketing move to boost their collaborative tracks, including the chart-topping Mina Nawe alongside Goon Flavour and Master KG, as well as their duet Naledi. But recent developments suggest Naledi has turned the page on that chapter.

The star, whose career continues to soar with recent releases like I Will Be Waiting for You featuring CICI, is now sharing snippets of her personal life. On her social media accounts, Naledi posted a series of romantic photos featuring a mystery man who, at first glance, had fans buzzing with excitement, believing him to be reality TV star Mpumelelo Mseleku.

The resemblance was striking, with many pointing to his signature style and charm. However, upon closer inspection, followers realized the man is merely a lookalike, sparking both amusement and intrigue online. One image captures the pair enjoying a candlelit dinner at an upscale Johannesburg restaurant, while another, more intimate shot shows them caught kissing in a bathroom, fueling a frenzy. “Grateful for you,” Naledi captioned one post, her words dripping with affection for her new companion, whose identity remains undisclosed.

The sudden shift from her past displays of affection with Mawelele—who once inspired heartfelt song dedications—has fans buzzing with questions. Were Naledi and Mawelele’s cozy moments just for show, or has love truly taken her in a new direction? Social media is alight with reactions, from heart-eyed emojis to playful comments about the Mseleku doppelgänger. “Thought it was Mpumelelo for a second, but Naledi’s still got us hooked!” tweeted one fan, while another joked, “This lookalike’s got Mzansi doing a double-take—who’s this guy stealing her heart?”

As Naledi balances her thriving music career and budding romance, her fans are eagerly watching for what’s next. With her signature blend of raw emotion and captivating melodies, the songstress is proving she’s as dynamic in love as she is on stage. Whether this new chapter with her mystery man inspires more hits or just more headlines, Mzansi is all ears—and eyes—for Naledi Aphiwe’s next move.

  • After Her Departure, Shalate Sekhabi Finally Speaks on House of Zwide Exit

After Her Departure, Shalate Sekhabi Finally Speaks on House of Zwide Exit

After Her Departure, Shalate Sekhabi Finally Speaks on House of Zwide Exit

Low Salaries and Industry Secrets Exposed

South Africa’s television world has been left buzzing after actress Shalate Sekhabi, who played the much-loved character Shoki on the hit e.tv drama House of Zwide, revealed shocking reasons behind her sudden departure from the show.

For months, fans have been speculating why the young actress decided to walk away from one of the country’s most watched telenovelas at the peak of her fame. Now, the truth is beginning to surface, and it paints a worrying picture about what really happens behind the scenes of local productions.

Shalate confirmed that she left House of Zwide because she was unhappy with her salary, despite the success of the show and the huge following her character attracted. She explained that she loved playing Shoki and appreciated the opportunity, but the pay she was receiving did not reflect the amount of work, effort, and popularity she brought to the production.

According to her, she often found herself struggling to make ends meet while fans assumed she was living a glamorous life because of her role on TV.

In her statement, Shalate went further than many expected. She did not only speak about her own pay but also revealed what other actors on the show were earning, exposing the huge salary gaps among the cast.

According to her revelations, senior actors like Vusi Kunene, who plays Funani, were pocketing close to R150,000 to R200,000 per month, while some lead female stars earned between R70,000 and R90,000 per month. In comparison, Shalate claimed that as one of the younger stars and fan favourites, she was earning just around R35,000 per month, a figure she says was “insulting” given her workload and the amount of screen time her character had.

She also mentioned that some of the supporting cast members were earning far less. Reports she shared pointed to actors on the lower end of the pay scale receiving between R18,000 and R25,000 per month, even though many of them had to be on set long hours and sometimes work under stressful conditions.

Shalate explained that while viewers believe being on TV equals wealth and luxury, the truth is that many actors quietly struggle because of the way salaries are structured in the industry.

Her decision to speak out has sparked a massive conversation on social media. Many fans praised her for her bravery in exposing the truth, saying that her honesty will force producers and broadcasters to rethink how they treat actors. Others expressed sadness that such a talented

actress had to leave a show she clearly loved simply because she felt undervalued financially. Some even called her the “voice of young actors” who are often too scared to speak about money for fear of being blacklisted.

What makes Shalate’s revelations even more powerful is that she did not stop at salary discussions. She also revealed how difficult it can be for younger actors to negotiate better deals.

According to her, producers sometimes use the promise of “exposure” as an excuse to underpay, telling new stars that fame will eventually open bigger doors. But as she pointed out, fame without fair pay does not put food on the table or pay the bills.

Her bold statements have put the spotlight firmly on the production of House of Zwide. The show, which replaced Rhythm City in 2021, has been a major hit and regularly trends online after episodes air.

Fans have followed Shoki’s journey with excitement, especially her relationship with Nkosi, played by Wanda Zuma. It was this storyline that helped the show capture a younger audience, making Shalate one of the most recognisable faces in South African television today.

Yet, despite her role being one of the most central to the plot, she says her salary never matched her contribution. In fact, she claimed that when she tried to negotiate for a raise, her requests were brushed off. She eventually reached a breaking point and decided that leaving the show was the only way to protect her mental health and future career.

This revelation has also opened wider debates about how the South African entertainment industry pays its actors compared to international standards. Many fans have pointed out that shows like House of Zwide, which attract high ratings and advertising revenue, should be able to pay their stars fairly. Others argued that this problem is not new, as past actors from other big productions have also spoken about low salaries, despite the shows being massively popular.

Shalate’s departure now leaves a huge gap in House of Zwide. Her character Shoki was deeply loved, and fans are already questioning how the writers will continue without her. Some have threatened to stop watching, saying that the show will not be the same without her.

The producers have not yet officially commented on her allegations about salaries, but industry insiders suggest that pressure may now build for transparency and possible reviews of contracts.

While her exit is heartbreaking for loyal viewers, Shalate has hinted at exciting new opportunities ahead. She has spoken about focusing more on her music career, as well as pursuing film and international acting roles. Many believe that leaving the show will allow her to spread her wings and achieve even greater things.

For now, her bravery in pulling back the curtain on the reality of actor salaries in South Africa will likely remain one of the most talked-about moments in the entertainment industry this year. By exposing what happens behind the glamorous lights of television, Shalate Sekhabi has forced both fans and producers to face a hard truth: fame does not always equal fortune.

Tragedy Strikes as Mthatha Officer Passes Away in Training Session

In the bustling Eastern Cape town of Mthatha, a somber cloud has descended upon the local police station following the sudden and devastating death of Constable Siposetu Nel, a 32-year-old officer with the South African Police Service (SAPS).

Nel, known among his peers for his unwavering dedication and infectious enthusiasm, collapsed during a grueling National Intervention Unit (NIU) training session, leaving behind a grieving family, shocked colleagues, and a community in mourning. This heartbreaking incident serves as a stark reminder of the unseen perils faced by those who serve and protect, even in routine preparations for high-stakes roles.

    The Fateful Training Session

Nel had eagerly traveled from his home station in Mthatha to a specialized NIU training facility, a program renowned for equipping officers with advanced skills in crowd control, hostage rescue, and tactical operations. The NIU, an elite unit within SAPS, demands peak physical conditioning, and Nel was reportedly in high spirits, pushing himself alongside fellow trainees under the watchful eyes of seasoned instructors.

Eyewitness accounts paint a vivid picture of the moment tragedy struck. Midway through a series of high-intensity drills—designed to simulate real-world scenarios involving endurance runs, obstacle courses, and strength-building exercises—Nel suddenly faltered. “He was giving it his all, shouting encouragement to the team one minute, and then he just… dropped,” recounted a fellow trainee, who wished to remain anonymous out of respect for the ongoing investigation.

The air filled with urgent calls as instructors and peers sprang into action, performing CPR and basic life support on the spot. An ambulance was summoned within minutes, but despite the rapid response and Nel’s transfer to Umtata General Hospital, medical staff could only pronounce him dead on arrival. Preliminary reports suggest cardiac arrest as a possible cause, though official confirmation awaits autopsy results.

This isn’t the first time such training has claimed lives; the NIU’s regimen, while transformative, has been criticized in the past for its unforgiving pace, especially for officers transitioning from desk or patrol duties. Nel, who joined SAPS in 2015 after serving in community policing, had no known history of health issues, making his collapse all the more puzzling and profound.

A Life of Service Cut Short

Siposetu Nel wasn’t just an officer; he was a pillar of his community. Born and raised in the rolling hills of Mthatha, Nel grew up in a modest household where values of integrity and community service were instilled early. After completing his schooling at a local high school, he pursued a diploma in criminology before enlisting with SAPS, driven by a passion to combat crime in the Eastern Cape’s often volatile townships. Over the years, he earned commendations for his role in dismantling drug rings and mediating domestic disputes, always approaching his work with a calm demeanor and a focus on de-escalation.

Colleagues remember him as the “go-to guy” for morale boosts during long shifts. “Sipho was the heart of our station—always organizing team-building braais and checking in on everyone,” shared Sergeant Thandiwe Nkosi, a close friend and patrol partner.

“He was a father to two young children, a son who made his parents proud, and a husband who lit up his wife’s world. Losing him like this… it’s unimaginable.” Nel’s family, including his wife of eight years and their two kids—a 5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl—have been enveloped in support from the tight-knit Mthatha community, where news of his passing spread like wildfire.

Tributes have echoed far beyond the Eastern Cape. SAPS National Commissioner General Fannie Masemola issued a statement praising Nel’s “exemplary service,” while local mayor Xolani Nqatha called him “a true hero whose sacrifice we must honor by improving officer welfare.” Social media platforms like X and Facebook are awash with hashtags such as #RIPConstableNel and #SAPSFamily, featuring photos of Nel in uniform, smiling at community events, and even coaching youth soccer on weekends.

Probing the Incident: Safety Questions Arise

In response to the tragedy, SAPS has initiated a comprehensive internal investigation, led by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID). The probe aims to scrutinize every aspect of the training session, from pre-exercise health screenings to environmental factors like the sweltering Mthatha heat, which can exacerbate physical strain.

“We take the well-being of our members seriously,” stated KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi in a press briefing. “This inquiry will review protocols to ensure no stone is left unturned.”

Ntando Duma Sparks Debate After Declaring She Won’t Date Men With Kids

Ntando Duma under fire after revealing she would never date men with kids! South African actress and producer Ntando Duma has sparked heated debate online after openly admitting that she is not interested in dating men who already have children.

The star, who tied the knot with musician Una Rams months ago and recently welcomed their baby girl, made the revelation during an interview on L-Tido’s podcast.

She explained that she has never dated a man with a child and that such men were never on her list of preferences.

    Ntando Duma under fire

While Ntando’s honesty was clear, her comments quickly set X on fire, with many dragging her for “double standards.”

Critics pointed out that Una chose to be with her despite her being a mother when they first got together.

Controversial social media commentator Chris Excel wrote: “This is what I always tell you brothers. Step fathers are the men that single mothers would not date if they didn’t have kids. The man who got her pregnant first was her type, not you. She’s with you because her type left her for better bums.”

Others echoed similar sentiments, with one user saying, “Why is she even on that podcast? She’s embarrassing that brother.”

Another added, “We were called bitter for saying her husband is a Simpopo, but she’s the one exposing red flags. Every week it’s something new, last week it was sexy pictures online, now this.”

Verulam Incident: Mother Allegedly Abandons Child to Join Lobola Negotiations

VERULAM, KWAZULU-NATAL — South Africans criticized a woman from Verulam in KwaZulu-Natal who left her child to go to lobola negotiations. According to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), the woman abandoned her two-year-old child in the Verulam CBD with two vendors she was accustomed to talking to while shopping in the CBD. The mother asked if she could leave her child in the stalls for a short period.

When the vendors closed shop, the mother had still not returned. They called her out of concern, and were astonished when she told them that she was on her way to Hluhluwe in the northern parts of the province with her new boyfriend to negotiate lobola. They contacted her hours later, and she said that she was in another part of the province. She then switched her phone off.

The mother returned two days later and arrived at the offices of RUSA. She confessed that she had drunk alcohol and had become intoxicated while in Hluhluwe. However, when she asked for her child, she was referred to the South African Police Service.

    Woman accused of negligence

Recently, a mother from Newclare in Johannesburg went viral after she and three of her associates made her four-year-old son smoke a pipe of drugs. The incident was recorded on camera, and it sparked widespread outrage.

She was arrested and appeared before the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court, charged with attempted murder and child abuse. She was remanded and is set to apply for bail.

    What did South Africans say?

Netizens commenting on Facebook condemned the mother’s actions. Sthabiso Bohlela said: “For years, mothers have left their babies behind to marry other men and go on to live a comfortable life in marriage without their children.” Samie Jolarh said: “Take her to social workers because Sne doesn’t deserve to be a mother.”

Leslie Nelson said: “How could a mother be so cruel? The Lord will protect the little angel.” Sean Ramlall said: “The vendors are heroes for safeguarding this child, because child abuse and child murders have become the norm in SA.” George Raphael said: “Somehow, somewhere, someone is struggling to have a child while those who are fertile do not appreciate the blessing.”
