Njinji Wami leaves Ukhozi FM in the cold as he resigns from the station
Mandla Magwaza has handed his resignation letter to Ukhozi FM.
The Jozi-born presenter, also known as “Njinji”, was hosting Ukhozi FM’s Top 20 on Saturdays from 12pm to 3pm.
News of Njinji ditching Ukhozi FM went viral on Christmas Day. Insiders claimed staff members were told by acting programmes manager Mandla Mdletshe on a group chat that Njinji resigned.
SABC media liaison officer Mmoni Seapolelo told TshisaLIVE: “Ukhozi FM management can confirm that Mandla Magwaza has resigned, and management wishes him well in his future endeavours.”
Last year Njinji hosted a cross over show with Mroza Buthelezi when they announce announced Khuzani Mpungose as a cross-over song winner for 2023 to 2024.
Earlier this year, he was a presenter on SABC’s star search show Ushunu Womhlaba alongside Metro FM’s Mpumi Mlambo.
Njinji attributed his success to the fact that he’s a people’s person who strives for excellence in all that he does.
