In a scene straight out of a Hollywood blockbuster movie, popular South African luxury boutique Naked Ape thrilled SA Fashion Week with a jaw-dropping entrance.
Arriving in VIP style, the Afro Monk brand founder Shaldon Kopman was escorted by South African icons Unathi Nkayi and Mel Bala.
New model or bespoke creation?
But the real showstopper was their sleek, eye-catching ride that had those in attendance buzzing.
The trio pulled up in what appeared to be a brand-new, customised Mercedes-Benz V-Class which quickly had tongues wagging.
Flanked by an entourage worthy of an Oscars red carpet, Naked Ape, Unathi Nkayi and Mel Bala made an unforgettable entrance.

Was this the latest model hot off the production line at Mercedes-Benz’s factory or was it a bespoke creation made exclusively for the celebrated designer?
As cameras flashed, those in attendance couldn’t help but wonder: What was the secret behind the luxury wheels?
Meanwhile, word on the street is that Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana stars Mothobi Mvala and Teboho Mokoena (pictured above) have been spotted driving their own Mercedes-Benz vans too.
What next?
Was it a preview of something even bigger coming from Mercedes-Benz or was this a custom masterpiece tailored exclusively for Naked Ape who is rewriting the rules of fashion in Mzansi.
