Musician Shebeshxt is aware his daughter died in car crash.
The mother of controversial musician Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke, better known as Shebeshxt, has revealed that the rapper knows his daughter has died. Currently, Shebeshxt is receiving medical care at the Netcare Pholoso Hospital in Limpopo after his Volkswagen Polo crashed into a truck and overturned on the R37 road next to Smelters Mine in Limpopo on Saturday night.
Shebeshxt Knows He Lost His Daughter
Speaking to Sunday World, the artist’s mother, Mpho Chauke, shared that she was afraid to tell him that his nine-year-old daughter, Onthatile Chuene, died in the car accident. The Twerka hitmaker was travelling from Polokwane to Lebowakgomo with his daughter, and his long-time partner, Kholofelo Chuene. He would have dropped them off at Kholofelo’s house before making his way to perform at an ANC Siyanqoba Rally celebration concert in Lebowakgomo. The event was scheduled for Sunday, 9 June.
“When I heard him talking only about his girlfriend, I thought maybe he was not aware until yesterday, when he mentioned to his friends that he was aware that his daughter is no more,” said Chauke.
Shebeshxt suffered a broken leg, an abdominal fracture, and head injuries. In addition, his collarbone is said to be sticking.
Julius Malema Assists with Hospital Fees
The Ambulance rapper’s hospital fees are being paid by Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) president Julius Malema who demanded he be taken to a private healthcare facility after he was left unattended at a public hospital.
“Shebeshxt does not have medical aid, so they took him to a public hospital, where he was not assisted for some time,” said a source revealed.
