Loyal Uthando Nes’thembu fans will be pleased to know that their favorite co-wives will be getting more airtime soon.

As popular entertainment commentator Phil Mphela recently reported, businessman Musa Mseleku’s four wives are getting their own talk show. The show will be called Igumbi Lamakhosikazi and is set to start in February 2022, airing on SABC1.

But the news was not received with the excitement that you would have expected. As the news hit social media, tweeps took to the comments to express their dismay at the new show.

Some think that giving Mseleku’s wives more airtime is not what Mzansi should be doing. They are promoting an “immoral” lifestyle, and the last thing they need is a bigger platform to plant such ideas in people’s heads.

Others are just simply tired of the businessman and his wives. They are everywhere, and tweeps are starting to feel like they are being forced down our throats.

In an interesting twist of events, tweeps have taken the new announcement to mean that the whole of Uthando Nes’thembu has been a marketing ploy, all just for money. As the wives sometimes seem to all get along, like in the Christmas special, as one fan pointed out, fans now think that the show has always been scripted.

However, some have congratulated the unconventional family for getting the bag every way possible. As it now stands, all four of them will be on two shows.

It was also announced recently that MaKhumalo also would be joining the cast of The Real Housewives of Durban for the second season, further proof that Musa is really putting his wives on and teaching them how to chase the bag.

Khumalo’s announcement caused a lot of excitement for the fans of the show. For many, she has quickly become their favorite one of their wives. Fans love her because she largely minds her business and has always shown great respect for the other wives. They believe she will flourish in her new role on RHOD.

Uthando Nes’thembu has been a huge hit in Mzansi, which is why it comes as a surprise that tweeps feel like they have had enough of the family. As the family’s patriarch Musa said, he believes that they are where they are because of the fans.

The businessman also said that the show is all real, and none of is scripted.

“I don’t live a lie, everything that people see about me and my family is the real deal,” he said, speaking to Isolezwe.

However, with tweeps now launching a myriad of complaints about the overexposure of the family and considering that it is all fake, we wonder whether the fans will still hold up the show as much as they have in the past.
