The Witbank branch is looking for a dedicated General Worker to support its warehouse operations and ensure smooth daily functioning.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent literacy and numeracy skills
- At least 3 years’ experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environment (Desirable)
- Knowledge of spares, motor or engine parts, warehouse systems, and procedures is an advantage
- Physically able to lift items ranging from 1kg to 30kg
- Efficient, accurate, and detail-oriented
Role Responsibility:
General Warehouse Duties
- Perform binning of incoming merchandise and replenishment from bulk to pick locations as per procedures
- Allocate new products with correct bin location numbers in the designated warehouse area
- Update bins and report any changes to the superior for system updates
- Assist with replenishment functions to ensure stock availability
Receiving and Checking
- Receive and check all incoming goods according to company standards
- Ensure all stock is in the correct location for easy picking and packing
Picking and Packing
- Pick customer and branch orders on time to meet order cut-off schedules
- Use bulk locations for picking only when stock is depleted from standard pick bins
- Follow procedures to maintain customer satisfaction and prevent breakage or incorrect orders
- Assist in stock take procedures and maintain a clean warehouse daily
- Perform double checks to reduce inventory loss and maintain accuracy
Scanner Control
- Issue scanners to operators daily and record them in the electronic system
- Receive and inspect scanners for any damage before booking them back into stock
- Report damages to the supervisor immediately
- Maintain an accurate daily scanner issue spreadsheet
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills

- Physically fit and capable of handling manual warehouse tasks

- Willingness to work overtime when required
