MMU Controller X3 – AECI Mining 2025 AECI Mining, a leader in mining explosives and chemical solutions, is offering a highly rewarding career opportunity for three skilled professionals to join the team as MMU Controllers in the North West region. The role will be based at the Mankwe and Kalgold sites. This permanent position is ideal for individuals with a passion for the mining and manufacturing sector, who are mechanically inclined, and who have the necessary driving credentials to manage Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMUs). The MMU Controller will be responsible for the full operation, maintenance, and safe handling of these critical mobile units used to deliver high-quality mining explosives solutions on-site.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage all aspects of the MMU in accordance with customer and company requirements
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with SABS standards and internal quality systems
- Identify operational non-conformances and implement preventative solutions
- Assist in reducing waste and maintaining cost efficiency within budget parameters
- Conduct minor maintenance on the MMU and ensure it is serviced regularly
- Maintain cleanliness and vehicle logs of the MMU
- Ensure compliance with all safety, licensing, and roadworthiness standards
- Support Field Support Services (FSS) in ensuring MMU readiness and legal compliance
- Assist in stemming and closing of charged holes
- Deliver quality explosive products consistently on-site
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Valid Code EC (Code 14) Driver’s Licence – Essential
- Must be able to obtain a Red Ticket and PrDP
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Ability to pass a psychomotor assessment
