Mam’Mkhize’s club ‘failed’ buyer speaks!
THE successful bidder for Shauwn “Mam’Mkhize” Mkhize’s Royal AM FC breaks his silence.
This follows the drama surrounding the failed bidding payment.
Mageshpren Moodley (46), the son of former president Jacob Zuma’s associate Chockalingam “Roy” Moodley, has denied claims of failing to complete a purchase on time.
Moodley said negotiations regarding the transaction are still ongoing.
On Thursday, 27 March, SARS curator Jaco Venter announced the cancellation of the purchasing agreement with Global Investments 0107 (Pty) LTD after they failed to pay the required amount within the stipulated time for acquiring the team.
Venter, from PBP Administrators, had been appointed by SARS to auction off the club as one of Mam’Mkhize’s assets, which had been attached to pay her R40 million debt to the revenue service.

Several weeks earlier, he invited interested buyers to bid for the football team, known as Thwihli Thwahla, in an auction.
On 19 March, Venter had notified Global Investments that they were the successful bidders and instructed them to make payment within three days, setting the deadline for Thursday, 27 March, at 10am.
However, after Global Investments reportedly failed to meet the payment deadline, Venter said he had no option but to terminate the agreement the same day.
Global Investments, based in Durban, KZN, is co-directed by Mageshpren Moodley and Denise Govender.
Moodley told Daily Sun that the curator’s statement wasn’t correct.
“The above assertions in the above message are not correct, and we would confirm that there is an ongoing negotiation in respect of this transaction.
“We would further advise that the media statement released by the Curator is not accurate and that we shall revert to you in due course,” he said.
