Recently, tweeps claimed on Twitter that Khanyi Mbau’s daughter Khanukani, also known as Cannes, was pregnant. A video recorded by Lasizwe over a weekend when the family together served as proof.

The revelation, which shocked every one of Mzansi, did not sit well with Khanyi fans and other parents around the country. And it certainly hasn’t set well with Khanyi, who has gone on to defend and call out her daughter in the way any mother would.

Khanyi used Instagram to send a harsh statement to put an end to the rumor that Cannes is expecting a child.

“I’m not one to listen to gossip, especially if it comes from a gossip blog. Anything spoke about me or my family has never bothered me; unfortunately, it’s been a burden I’ve had to bear for years. MAKING FUN OF ME HAS TURNED INTO A BUSINESS.

For almost 18 years, the most damaging and inaccurate things have been stated about me. It’s gotten to the point where it’s affecting my career as an actress and musician.” Khanyi, who was visibly furious, expressed his displeasure.

“BUT ONE THING I WILL NOT ALLOW IS FOR MY DAUGHTER TO BE VICTIMIZED AND ABUSED BY A RUMOR STARTED BY A WOMAN ON TIKTOK @bigmmam9410 FORM OF AN INNOCENT FAMILY VIDEO POSTED BY LASIZWE,” she continued.

YOU CAN HATE ME ALL YOU WANT, BUT @MBAU2 is still a kid. THE FACT THAT THE FIRST THOUGHT THAT COMES TO ALL OF YOUR MIND IS THAT A CHILD COULD BE PREGNANT DEMONSTRATES HOW ILL WE HAVE ALL BECOME AS A SOCIETY.

NO WONDER CHILD ABDUCTION AND ABUSE HAVE BECOME THE STANDARD AND WHY STATISTICS ARE SO HIGH.

OUR CHILDREN ARE IN PERIL, AND THE ENERGIES WE ADULTS EXPAND ARE VIOLENT AND DISGUSTING. WE HAVE NO TRUST IN THEM AND HAVE NO RESPECT FOR CHILDREN.”

Fans have subsequently echoed her feelings in the comments section, stating that no child should be subjected to such negative energy and that it is past time for South Africa to be able to safeguard our children from all sorts of cyberbullying.

Khanyi’s message is unmistakable. “FIND ME! I’m in the game!” You’ve always been enraged by my achievement. BUT GET OUT OF MY CHILD’S WAY WITH THIS FAKE NEWS! AT 15, she is going through puberty and is a developing young girl!!!” “NONE OF YOU HAD PERFECT BODYS!!!”
