Kairo Forbes turns 9: DJ Zinhle, Lynn Forbes shares b-day posts
DJ Zinhle and Lynn Forbes penned heartfelt and sweet birthday tributes to Kairo Forbes on her ninth birthday on Monday 8 July.
South African DJ and businesswoman Ntombezinhle Jiyane, popularly known as DJ Zinhle, took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt birthday tribute to her daughter, Kairo Forbes on 8 July.
DJ ZINHLE CELEBRATES DAUGHTER ON NINTH BIRTHDAY
Kairo Forbes turned nine on Monday 8 July. Reality star DJ Zinhle welcomed Kairo with slain South African rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA, in 2015. AKA was shot dead outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road on 10 February 2023.
DJ Zinhle is now “married” to South African musician Bongani Mohosana, popularly known as Murdah Bongz. Together the pair have a daughter named Asante Mohosana. Murdah Bongz has been praised as a “good step father” to Kairo.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, DJ Zinhle expressed that she is so proud of her daughter. She also added that her father, AKA will also be in her heart. Take a look…
“My baby is 9 👑 Happy Birthday @KairoForbes, the sweetest lady baby I know 😜, the best big sister & most talented girl. You surprise me everyday, may God continue to bless you with great health & happiness. I also pray that he continues to guide me and @murdahbongz as we raise the most precious girl,” she wrote.
“Kiernan will forever be in your heart & we will keep his memory alive. We love you so much, I hope you know how proud we all are. Happy Birthday my Angel pie. Owethu kaMama ❤️,” she continued.

“Watching you grow has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life! It’s been almost a decade since your dad said to me, “Mom, Zinhle and I are planning to have a baby!” I can clearly remember my excitement at the possibility of becoming a grandmother. A few months later they told me the happy news that your mom was pregnant and I was over the moon,” she wrote.
“Nine months later, on this day, nine years ago, you were born and our lives changed forever! It was one of the happiest days of our lives and every day since then, you have filled my life with so much joy. We have made countless memories together and raising you brings me so much fulfillment,” she continued.
