He has undoubtedly earned a fortune from his illustrious career spanning years. Like those before him, he has splurged millions on his life of glitz and glamour. Kabza De Small reportedly owns a lush mansion in the leafy suburbs of Johannesburg and also has an impressive fleet that costs a fortune.

However, he made headlines a month ago when he shared a photo of his Ankole cattle. Mzansi was more than convinced that he was spreading his wings to agriculture.

However, he seemingly has a herd of one of the most expensive cattle breeds in the world. Taking to Instagram stories, he shared a clip of his Ankole herd.

The now-deleted post has thrust him into the top trends. Judging from the now-deleted post, the cows are under zero grazing and kept in an enclosed area.

OTHER ANKOLE BREEDERS

Kabza De Small joins a host of African presidents who have Ankole cattle. President Cyril Ramaphosa has a herd of Ankole cattle and often sells them at auctions.

Over the years, the president has had annual cattle auctions at his Phala Phala farm near Bela Bela in Limpopo. Earlier this year, the president made R15 million from the auction.

The top-selling lot was a 3-in-1 Ankole cow that was in-calf and had a young calf at foot. The second highest price paid was R1 million for an incalf Ankole.

Zimbabwean president Emmerson Mnangagwa also has a sizeable herd of Ankole cattle at his Precabe Farm in Kwekwe. Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni keeps thousands of long-horned Ankole cows at his Kisozi farm.

Mzansi was quick to flood social media with their two cents. Many were convinced that Kabza De Small’s investment was worth it. Some praised the muso for defying all odds and thinking outside the box.

An X user commented, “Smart investment. The boy is smart. These cows are worth more than the normal ones… we talk about millions by only having about five of them.”
