Last Monday, on Monday the 02nd of January, Mzanzi was shocked by the death of the well-known Emalahleni municipality mayor who passed away early in the morning in a car accident together with her husband. According to the reports, the maladies were rushed to the hospital immediately after the accident, but sadly, both didn’t make it.

This death came as a shock not only to the family but the whole municipality as well as the African National Congress, as she was one of the most loved and respected leaders. It is very sad that the death occurred in the same week that the African National Congress was celebrating its 110th birthday. Many people, including some icons, such as the suspended Secretary-General Ace Magashule, paid their condolences to the family.

The maladies were sent to their final destination yesterday. It is with great grief that the African National Congress (ANC) giants gather together to bury one of their own. Ace Magashule and Lindiwe Sisulu, among others, find it difficult to swallow the bitter pill of death. In the photos taken during the funeral, Ace Magashule and Lindiwe Sisulu can be seen gazing down and having a gloomy day, which clearly illustrates the situation.
