Icons SA judge Somizi Mhlongo is a glad child subsequent to discovering that his late mother and amazing entertainer Mary Twala sacked the Best Actress grant at the 44th yearly Hong Kong International Film Festival.
Communicating his pride, Somizi submitted his general direction to the producers of the movie, This Is Not a Burial, It’s a Resurrection, who were eager to share the news that Mam’ Mary’s work in the movie was given worldwide acknowledgment.
“She didn’t kick the bucket … she increased … she remains winning,” a pleased Somizi said.
In the film, Mam’ Mary assumes the lead job of a widow, who in the wake of learning of her child’s unplanned passing, ties up her common issues and orchestrates her own memorial service. Her arrangements are disturbed when the town must clear a path for the development of a repository, and she revives her desire forever, vowing to guard the hereditary burial ground and save her own nobility.
The film, by Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese, won three honors including the Best Film award.
