Tasks
Learners will be expected to:

Qualifications
To be considered for the Diesel Mechanic Learnership, applicants must:
- Be a resident of one of the following host communities: Bekkersdaal, Zuurberkom, Thusanang, Hillshaven, Westonaria, Poortjie, Simunye, Kalbasfontein, or Jachtfontein
- Hold a Grade 12 qualification with Maths and Science
- Possess a full N3 qualification with the following 4 trade-specific subjects:
- Engineering Mathematics
- Engineering Science
- Diesel Trade Theory
- Engineering Drawing
- Be declared medically fit for both the position and the working environment as per a risk-based assessment at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre
- Pass a Heat Tolerance Screening Test and any additional suitability assessments required by the mine
