The fan-favourite Sepedi actress Rinkie Tleane portrayed the role of Matete in the popular drama series, Bophelo ke Semphekgo for several years.
A photo of Tleane went viral on social media after X user @mashoto_ shared the photo of her from Instagram user @ifp007.
It is unclear what Tleane is up to as she’s kept her professional and social life private from the media and social media.
Fans of the actress are relieved that she’s still alive and predict she might be 66 years in 2024 as she was reportedly born in 1958.

WELL-KNOWN ‘BOPHELO KE SEMPHEKGO’ ACTORS
Rinkie Tleane starred alongside actors Lydia Mogokoloshi and Nakedi Ribane in Bophelo ke Semphekgo.
The show was a popular Sepedi drama set in Soweto, Johannesburg in the 1980s which also featured Skeem Saam actors Sello Maake KaNcube and Patrick Shai.
Late actor Patrick Shai was known for playing the role of Nkosheng in the popular early drama on SABC. While actress Nakedi Ribane portrayed Matete’s rival Senthaolele.
Veteran actress Lydia Mogokoloshi who is known for playing Koko Mantsha in Skeem Saam played Matete’s mother-in-law, Mma-Nkosheng.
While popular actor Sello Maake KaNcube who plays Ntate Kganyago in Skeem Saam portrayed the charming character of Dr Mashobadieta.
