Limpopo’s MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Violet Mathye, expressed her sorrow over the loss of lives in this unfortunate incident. In a public statement, her spokesperson, Dali Tshifhiwa, conveyed the department’s condolences to the affected families.

“MEC Mathye is deeply saddened by the loss of lives in the accident that occurred on road D4285 at Matilu Village in Ephraim Mogale Municipality, Sekhukhune District. As we approach the Easter weekend, I urge all road users to exercise extra caution.”

“On behalf of the Department and the people of Limpopo, we extend our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives. We also wish the injured individuals a swift and full recovery.”
