Fans in Stitches Over Siya Kolisi’s Funny Video Promoting Marc

Top South African comedian, Marc Lottering, posted a humorous video on social media featuring him and Siya Kolisi discussing Lottering’s current show with Alfred Adriaan at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town.

In the show Alfred & Marc, popular South African comedians Alfred Adriaan and Marc Lottering join forces to bring audiences their best material as performed over the last few years. Both comics have been filling theatres locally and abroad. Fans can expect to be treated to two hours of sheer hilarity with this show. It runs at the Baxter Theatre until 11 Jan 2025.

Adriaan is a popular South African stand-up comedian, TV personality, and vlogger. The Eastern Cape-born comedian took to Facebook and TikTok in 2020 to document his life and his online audiences soon fell in love.

Lottering surprised by audience
Marc Lottering hails from Retreat in Cape Town, where his father was the pastor of a Pentecostal church.

He has a variety of onstage personas and has brought laughter to audiences across the country and abroad for decades. His performances abroad have included shows in London, Toronto, Sydney, Melbourne, and Dubai.

Lottering’s shows and humour span across cultures, backgrounds, and age groups.

Lottering celebrated his birthday last week and was touched when Adriaan got over 600 audience members to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to him. Watch the video here.

Earlier today, Lottering posted a hilarious video on his Facebook page that shows him and Siya Kolisi ‘discussing’ complimentary tickets for the Alfred & Marc show that Kolisi wants and Lottering jokingly asking Kolisi about his finances because he wants free tickets:

The two celebrities seem to have a good friendship as this is not the first time they meet. Earlier this year, Lottering, his husband Anwar McKay, Alfred Adriaan, and Kolisi met up for dinner in Perth when the Springboks were in Australia for a rugby match and the comedians were performing the Alfred & Marc show there. In addition to their show in Perth, they also had three shows in Sydney.
