Family Appeals for Assistance as Suthu’s Medical Bills Mount

AWARD-WINNING musician Suthukazi “Suthu” Arosi faces a difficult health battle, and her family is reaching out to the public for support.

The beloved artist, originally from a small village Cala in the Eastern Cape, has been undergoing chemotherapy treatment as doctors work to determine the exact type of cancer affecting her.

Despite the challenges, her family remains hopeful she’ll recover and return to the stage.

Suthu has had a remarkable 40-year career dedicated to celebrating African culture and the philosophy of Ubuntu, Motho ke Motho Ka Batho.

Her music has consistently carried messages of unity and empowerment, urging Africans to embrace solidarity and cultural pride.

Known for hits such as Ingane Yabelungu, Wemnt’ Omnnyama, Ulele Ulele, Vumani, Umziwasha, and Amanyala, Suthu’s work has inspired generations and continues to resonate with fans across the globe.

In a heartfelt statement, the Arosi family expressed gratitude for prayers, love, and support from the arts community and friends.

However, they also acknowledged the mounting medical bills as Suthu continues her treatment.

“While doctors are still trying to figure out the type of cancer tormenting Suthu, there’s hope and belief she’ll soon be back on her feet. The singer and actress has more chemotherapy sessions to undergo, and the bills are piling up. Thus, the Arosi family pleads for support and assistance from those in a position to help,” the family stated.

Suthu has dedicated her life to music and advocacy through her voice to uplift and unite people.

Now, as she battles for her health, her family and supporters hope for the same spirit of unity and generosity to aid her recovery.
