Exciting News: Zukisa Joins the Uzalo Cast!
UZALO continues to bring drama to the small screen.
The show has welcomed actress Zukisa Matola, who will play determined taxi owner Noma-Russia Mkabile’s role.
The 47-year-old is best-known for her roles in Tsha Tsha and Generations.
In addition to TV, the Mthatha-born actress also has an extensive theatre background, participating in productions including Look Before You Leap, and Don’t Think So.

Her character in Uzalo is a woman who always gets what she wants whatever the cost. She has her eyes on Prince, and her obsession with him will lead to tension, manipulation and power struggles.

Speaking about her new role, Zukisa said the thrill of returning to where she started feels like coming back home.
“It’s such a great privilege to be joining a show as authentic as Uzalo. I’m glad and enjoying my role. Stay tuned and witness Noma-Russia’s debut,” she said.
Series producer King David Mukwevho said: “Zukisa Matola is an exceptional talent who brings depth and energy to the show. Her character is dynamic and perfectly woven into the high-stakes drama of KwaMashu.”
Zukisa’s first appearance as Noma-Russia will be on 18 February.
