Ex-Miss SA Liesl Laurie celebrates 10-year milestone!
FORMER Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie is receiving heartfelt congratulatory messages.
She is celebrating a decade since winning the coveted title.
Liesl shared pictures of herself holding a crown from when she won Miss SA.
The 34-year-old from Eldorado Park claimed the title in 2015. She later made Mzansi proud by competing in Miss World 2015 in Sanya, China, representing one of 114 contestants.
Liesl reached the Top 10 finalists and earned the title of Continental Queen of Africa as the highest-placed African contestant.
Recently, she celebrated the 10th anniversary of her crowning and shared her feelings about the milestone.

“10 years. On 29 March 2015, Lies Laurie from Eldorado Park was crowned Miss South Africa. My life changed forever. All my ouma’s sacrifices paid off. All my mom’s prayers were answered. All my hard work finally paid off. God granted me the opportunity of a lifetime – without His grace, I would not have made it to that stage. A blessing. An honour.”
She said it was a true Cinderella story.

Messages of congratulations filled her comments sections.
Her husband, Dr Musa, was the first to say how proud he is of his wife.
“Miss South Africa wam. The Angles up in the clouds. The best to ever do it. Dankie baby girl,” he wrote.
Miss South Africa 2021 Lalela Mswane wrote: “My queen, I was rooting for you then and will always root for you.”
