Ex-Big Brother Mzansi Star Blue Mbombo Shares Struggles with Fame

They are always seen together, and because they are twins, many think they have the same personality. But that isn’t the case with these two.

Socialite and former Big Brother Mzansi contestant Blue Mbombo is different from her twin sister, Brown.

Speaking to Daily Sun, the 34-year-olds share that they are different characters. Blue gained popularity after being one of the housemates in the BBM house in 2015.

She and her ex-boyfriend Katlego K2 Mabusela were loved by Mzansi, making them one of the most loved celebrity couples back in the day.

After the reality show, the model continued with her career in the entertainment industry and became a brand ambassador.

While she is not shy to be in front of the camera, her sister despises the camera.

“Entertainment is not for me. I have a dry personality, I’m not outgoing and am always dragged to events,” she said.

She said growing up, Blue was always the star.

“Growing up, I was always the reserved one and that hasn’t changed even now,” she said.

Blue said she appreciates her sister for always tolerating her career and being by her side.

“She hates everything industry-related, entertainment and the spotlight.”

She said she always knew being in the limelight would be her thing.

“I’ve always known I’d be a star. I mean the whole thing of me calling myself the Duchess has a reason and that’s a story for another day,” she said.

She said she’s happy about where she is.

“I’m so happy that dreams do come true, especially where we come from, which is a disadvantaged background. To be where we are right now means a lot to us.”

Recently, the two were nominated for the Cutest Couple at the Feathers Awards and Blue was thankful.

“We were not expecting it because this has been tough. We lost our mum a few months ago and have been going through pain. As we speak, we’re still grieving,” she said.
