Sea’s the day: ‘Real Housewives of Durban’ stars, including Sorisha Naidoo nailed the ‘Ride The Wave’ theme at the Durban July.
The stars of Showmax’s Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD), including leading lady Sorisha Naidoo, came out to play at the fashion Durban July this weekend.
Putting their best foot forward – in designer heels, no less – the reality TV stars clawed for the spotlight in their couture gowns.
But did they do their city justice when it came to strutting their stuff?
SORISHA AND OTHER RHOD SHOW OFF THEIR DURBAN JULY LOOKS
On Instagram, Real Housewives of Durban star Sorisha Naidoo showed off her unique look for the Durban July, which took place on 6 July at the Greyville Racecourse.
With the theme being “Ride The Wave,” the wife of Vivian Ready went for an ocean-inspired outfit.
“Technology meets couture in our first electronic gown. Inspired by a romantic dark starry night with a luminous coral reef,” she captioned the blue bejewelled gown adorned with lights.

Jojo Robinson wore a dress in a similar sea blue shade, which she paired with Swarovski diamonds.
Nonku Williams – who had her own marquee, themed ‘The Island of Luxury’ – wore a turquoise and silver cocktail gown while Maria Valaskatzis brought out the bling and sequins.
“Today’s look was inspired by a resilient rock in the ocean. No matter how much it’s beaten, it continues to stand strong”, Maria captioned a post of her couture gown.
Meanwhile, Slee Ndlovu channeled a majestic mermaid in a dress featuring a “hand-painted oceanic canvas.”
ULTIMATE GIRLS TRIP STARS CRASH THE PARTY
Joining the Real Housewives of Durban cast were stars from the Ultimate Girls Trip spin-off, who joined the coastal queens at the Durban July.
Lethabo Mathatho of Real Housewives of Johannesburg, unfortunately, landed on the “worst-dressed list,” thanks to an ill-fitting nude and silver gown.
