About the Opportunity

The Department of Employment and Labour is inviting applications from dynamic, dedicated, and qualified South African candidates for a massive recruitment drive of 657 posts nationwide. These roles aim to strengthen frontline service delivery in labour, UIF, and employer-related functions. What You’ll Be Doing

Selected candidates will be responsible for offering essential services to the public, including UIF claims processing, client support, enforcement of labour laws, and administrative support. Roles are spread across different categories such as:

  • Client Service Officer: Customer Services (84 Posts)
  • UIF Claims Officer: Paymaster (68 Posts)
  • UIF Claims Officer: Assessment (72 Posts)
  • UIF Employer Services Officer (80 Posts)
  • UIF Client Service Officer (120 Posts)
  • Client Service Officer: Quality Assurer (118 Posts)
  • Client Service Officer: Inspection and Enforcement Services (8 Posts)
  • Client Service Officer: Public Employment Services (PES) (11 Posts across two listings)
  • UIF General Positions (99 Posts)

You will perform the following responsibilities depending on the post you’re applying for:

  • Provide client screening and advisory services
  • Process UIF applications and register continuation forms
  • Offer employer compliance and registration support
  • Ensure enforcement of labour legislation
  • Conduct quality assurance of client service
  • Deliver administrative and clerical support

Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate (compulsory for all roles)
  • No prior work experience required
  • Knowledge of relevant labour and UIF legislation

  • Conflict resolution abilities
  • Understanding of customer service protocols
