Connie Chiume’s family celebrates first Christmas without her

It’s been a difficult year for the family of legendary actress Connie Chiume, who passed away in 2023.

This Christmas they’re facing their first festive season without her.

Connie’s daughter, Zandile Msutwana, took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute to her mother.

She posted images of Connie’s gravesite, adorned with flowers, and recalled fond memories of Christmases past spent together.

“Dear Mom, my Xmas anxiety is shooting up the roof, everyone’s so happy and joyful during this time and me … for me it’s different. I don’t know myself without you but I’m really working to love her, to get to know her.

“I miss you so much Conzaa, and as the new year approaches I pray that your spirit guides me and the glory of God rains on me. I love you with every fibre of my being and I think about you every single minute of every single day. May your spirit live on for generations and generations.”
