Scores of celebrities have taken to social media to pay tribute to legendary actor, Shona Ferguson, who was buried on Wednesday 4 August.

Many of them have shared their pain of losing such a talented actor and producer.

Ferguson, affectionately known as “Uncle Sho”, was not only an actor and producer, but he has changed the entertainment and film industry in South Africa.

His acting career began when he joined prominent South African series ‘Generations’, ‘Isidingo: The Need’, and ‘Muvhango’ in the early 2000s.

He was an acclaimed director, actor, and producer.

In 2010, Shona and his wife, Connie Ferguson, launched Ferguson Films.

The company produced hit shows such as, ‘The Gift’, ‘Igazi’, ‘Imposter’, ‘The Queen’, ‘Unmarried’, ‘The Throne’, and ‘Kings of Jo’Burg’.

It is through working and producing these shows that he won the hearts of many South Africans and his colleagues.
