Brian Baloyi Joins Pink Warriors Foundation to Raise Cancer Awareness

Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brian Baloyi reflected on Cancer Awareness Month as October draws to an end.

According to Pink Warrior Foundation founder Phungi Baloyi, it brings her joy to see the extent to which organisations and individuals have taken this month seriously and how they make an impact by creating awareness.

“This month has been exactly that, impactful. I was invited to a few events as a speaker and as a guest. The conversations afterwards are the most heartwarming, as you get to hear one-on-one how people have been affected by these initiatives,” she said.

The Brian Baloyi Family Foundation and Pink Warrior Foundation said they are committed to making sure messages of awareness about early detection don’t end in October but continue throughout the year.

“The positive is the support received. Support goes a long way because cancer is not a ‘them’ problem but a societal problem and we need everyone to ensure we win the battle against breast cancer.”
