Yesterday many of the Zulu Royal family members traveled to the Royal house were the King Misuzulu kaZwelithini hosted the annual Reed dance. This took place even the some family members put threat about bloodshed that might happen.

Few days before the ceremony, One of the Zulu princes, known as Prince Mxolisi KaBhekuzulu, has written to KwaZulu-Natal Premier Mrs Nomusa Dube-Ncube in an attempt to stop the Reed Dance at Enyokeni Palace, saying the gathering could lead to confrontations which may result in bloodshed.

Now the AmaZulu King Misuzulu ka Zwelithini’s spokesperson Prince Thulani Zulu has confirmed the killing to the South African Broadcasting Cooperative News team.

A senior member of the Osuthu royal council was shot and killed last night. He had earlier attended Reed dance at eNyokeni palace. He was ambushed arriving at his house in KwaNongoma.
