Black Twitter Reacts To Ayanda Thabethe‘s “Privileged” Comment. Black Twitter Reacts To Ayanda Thabethe’s “Privileged” Comment. Very often we forget that celebs are also human meaning that they also experience a foot in the mouth moment. This social media orientated day and age makes it far more impossible to just sweep inappropriate comments under the rug and just move on with life.
Ayanda Thabethe was recently put on the hot seat on twitter after making a rather insensitive comment about privilege. The TV personality was recently dragged on twitter after confirming that she is not affected by the unrest, riots and looting that Mzansi has found itself in following the arrest of former president Jacob Zuma.
Now that the chaos has sort of simmered down, Ayanda tweeted about how grateful she is that she and her man are privileged enough to escape the current mess that has been going on in Mzansi to their holiday home. Even though she deleted the tweet, black twitter has shared their distaste about her comment and have shared just how insensitive it is.
Grateful to be in the privileged opportunity to escape the madness to our holiday home. Figuring out how to get food to my family is what’s weighing heavily on my heart. I am going to need to do this till things till things are okay and who knows how long that will take…” she wrote.

Nothing wrong with what Ayanda Thabethe said just that she’s stressing the fact that she’s rich and it’s nice to be rich. That’s all. pic.twitter.com/61Big26llA
