Bhar Discusses His Shift to Hip-Hop Ahead of New Album Release
Kwaito singer Bhar seems to have switched to hip-hop.
Bhar, real name Sifiso Mshengu, is known for his songs Bhampa, Angel and iParty Yama Couple.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Bhar said a lot of people know he’s a versatile musician and whatever song he’s featured on has been top quality. .
“It is essential as a musician to be versatile and do whatever is required in the entertainment industry,” he said.
“I had my fair share of acting stints. So I’ll release a hip-hop album and some of the songs are from a 2004 hip-hop album, including Mama Wami I did with DJ Oskido.”
Bhar said he has a strong fan base in the hip-hop scene and he isn’t surprised about the reaction he has received on social media.
“This album, I have a song I did with Big Nuz and Slovas, so a lot of people know I have a hip-hop background. This time I am releasing it and adding a new flavour, new features, so my fans should get themselves ready for my hip-hop album, as they’ve been asking for it.”
