I have heard many tragic stories of people who have fallen victim to crimes in South Africa. However, this may be the most tragic case that I believe I have come across. What makes it worse is that it only occurred a few hours ago. Here are all the details.

Be on the lookout :

RUSA (Reaction Unit South Africa) has urged the public to be on the lookout for the twenty-three-year-old man in the picture above. He is a victim of kidnapping with a chilling twist.

Even though the man had been kidnapped, he was able to send his neighbor a voice note at approximately 19:04 last night (Monday). He said that he had been taken by two men when he was at Moss Street Verulam. Following up he said that both men were Balaclavas and that they forced him into a white van. Finally, in one last voice note, he was crying and said that his family would find his body I’m area 1.

The reality of the situation :

Crime in South Africa is rising and you should make every effort to stay safe. Please do not go anywhere alone at night, especially in dangerous areas. As criminals lie in wait for vulnerable people.

Please also consider buying a legal weapon that you can use in self-defense, if you want extra protection you can also legally acquire a gun by getting a gun license. I personally believe that protection is necessary for South Africans to take care of themselves.
