She suffered a terrible spinal injury and almost lost her life in the event, which was allegedly caused by a drunk driver. Lungelo found it difficult to carry out even the most basic duties for months, let alone continue with her job and housework. She was the only one who could really understand the experience.

Lungelo Mpangase’s talent as an actor and her tenacity after the car accident have been evident.
