Selosesha police have apprehended a 64-year-old man following the fatal stabbing of a five-year-old boy in Zone 4 Extension, Thaba ‘Nchu, on Tuesday, January 7.

Free State police spokesperson Sergeant Mahlomola Kareli reported that the tragic event unfolded around 6:30 pm when law enforcement responded to a distress call reporting a murder.

“Upon arrival, officers found a crowd gathered outside a residence. The lifeless body of the young boy was discovered in the yard,” Kareli said.
